Moby Dick toilet paper really exists.

An eBay seller from Florida is asking for a starting bid of $999.95 for ownership of this unusual creation.

All 822 pages of the Herman Melville's 1851 novel have been carefully typed on four rolls of toilet paper, complete with the epilogue on about 1/5 of a roll and one half-roll.

I've kept this mod oddity in a box in a cool, dry place for the last 10 years and have only broken it out to prove to doubters that I actually did it . . . considering what it's been through, it's in amazing condition, the eBay seller, the_heppcat, explains in the listing.

The seller, who is offering free shipping to the lucky bidder, goes on to reveal that the idea came from a bet from a friend.

Yes, we did have some time on our hands but, as you can see from the photos, I won the bet, the listing reads.

Since the listing's debut earlier this week, Twitter feeds have been filling with reaction.

A man typed Moby Dick on several rolls of one-ply toilet paper. Let me know when someone has typed Snooki's book on two-ply, wrote one user.

Want this BAD: Moby Dick hand-typed on toilet paper rolls, currently on eBay, wrote another.

So far, no bids have been made. The listing expires on Jan. 25, just before 10 p.m. PST.
