“Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” episode 4 will see the aftermath of Wang So’s (Lee Jun Ki) hunt for the people behind Crown Prince Wang Mu’s (Kim San Ho) thwarted assassination.

In the “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” episode 4 preview released by SBS, it seems 8th Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul) and 10th Prince Eun (Byun Baekhyun) are starting to develop feelings for Hae Su (Lee Ji Eun), while 4th Prince Wang So is becoming more drawn to her as well.

The previous episode saw Wang So interrogating Hae Su about the assassins who tried to kill Crown Prince Mu. She insists that she’s told him all that she remembers, but later she recalls that the person leading the assassins had been wearing fur. Wang So and Wook both recall that 3rd Prince Wang Yo (Hong Jong Hyun) had been wearing fur on the night of the ritual ceremony. They tell Hae Su to forget what she witnessed for her own safety.

While So had been looking for the assassins, Queen Sinmyeongsunseong (Park Ji Young) was livid that her plan to get rid of the first prince and put her son Prince Yo on the throne did not succeed. Yo tells his mother that he killed all the assassins, leaving no witnesses who could possibly blab to the king (Jo Min Ki), and that he suspects Astronomer Choi (Kim Sung Kyun) of helping out Prince Mu and conspiring with So. The queen then asks him to find out whether Astronomer Choi and So have a connection.

On his end, Wook begins to observe Yo’s movements. When the princes gather for tea, he subtly asks Yo whether or not he went after the culprits the night before, observing his brother closely when he replies that he did, but lost them when he took the wrong path. The king stops by to see his sons and gets angry when he sees the bruise on Prince Eun’s face.

Cue Eun approaching a nervous Hae Su, who is terrified of what the king might do to her as punishment for hitting a prince. Eun teases him his father has ordered the culprit to be flogged, but later takes pity on Hae Su and informs her that he’s managed to get her out of her punishment. He then flirts with Hae Su, telling her that she’s the first woman to have ever hit him and that it was fun fighting with her since she fought right back. Hae Su, who had half-expected the prince to start hitting on her, just tells him that he can visit her any time he wants a fight.

In “Moon Lovers” episode 3, Wang So also confronts Yo about the assassination plot, and though his brother didn’t say anything, the former figures out that his mother was behind everything. The episode ends with Queen Sinmyeongsunseong lying on her bed, terrified, as a bloody and smirking Wang So approaches her.

The “Moon Lovers” episode 4 preview shows Wang So teasing Hae Su, which seems to hint that the prince might be developing an interest on her as a woman and not just a means to an end. A scene also shows Wook staring tenderly into Hae Su’s eyes and leaning in for a kiss.

Meanwhile, "Moon Lovers" came in third for Monday-Tuesday ratings after pulling in 7% for episode 3. SBS' "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" episode 4, which aired on the same timeslot, pulled 16.4% of ratings, according to Dramabeans.
