A rumor in an unreliable tabloid claimed actress Nicole Kidman was furious with her husband Keith Urban for meeting with her former husband Tom Cruise in London, without informing her. However, the rumor was debunked by Gossip Cop, which confirmed such a meeting never took place.

The rumor was started by the New Idea magazine as a follow up to their previously bogus claim Kidman and Cruise’s adopted son Connor recently moved to Clearwater, Florida, near the headquarters of the Church of Scientology, which was making the “Golden Compass” star anxious because she did not want their son to get involved in a controversial religion. The premise of that story debunked by Gossip Cop last month.

With their recent story, the tabloid just built up on the foundation, alleging Kidman’s current and former husbands secretly met up in order to discuss Connor’s future. Apparently, claimed the tabloid, Cruise found out Urban was performing in London for his “Graffiti U” tour and reached out to the country singer to arrange a meeting with him.

“Tom is desperate to rebuild family connections, as well as dissuade Nicole from getting herself involved in something potentially dangerous,” a so-called anonymous insider told the tabloid.

And as for the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer, the insider claimed, Urban agreed to the meeting because he had “seen how stressed Nicole’s been over the situation with Connor and how much anxiety it’s caused her.”

Very conveniently, the unnamed source avoided mentioning the time and place of the alleged meeting or the kind of solutions, if any, that Cruise and Urban came up with to the situation the tabloid claimed had arisen regarding Connor.

The insider did, however, mention that Kidman did not take lightly to her husband going behind her back and discussing her son’s future with Cruise.

“Keith insisted he was doing it in her best interests and he wanted nothing more than for his girls to grow up with a happy family dynamic and have a relationship with their half-siblings,” the source claimed, explaining how Urban attempted to pacify his furious wife.

Gossip Cop reached out to Urban’s rep who called “fake news” on the narrative spun by New Idea. Firstly, the fact the latest rumor was based off a bogus story to start with was enough indication the alleged meeting never took place.

Secondly, the actor and the singer were not even in the same continent at the time of the alleged meeting. While Urban was busy touring Europe and performing gigs, the “Mission Impossible” actor has been in California since August shooting “Top Gun 2.”
