A 21-year-old New York woman vanished after a subway ride on New Year's Eve. Officials are seeking help to find Adamaruis Garcia as her family could not have a trace of her after her disappearance.

Garcia, known to her family by the name Yuri, was last seen at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday on a northbound N train at Queensboro Plaza, NBC New York reported.

According to reports, Garcia got out after her usual shift at a Manhattan restaurant at around 9 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022. She then hung out with her friends for a while before taking the northbound N train that stopped at the Queensboro Plaza station.

However, her family says it is not the usual route Garcia takes to ride back home."She doesn't usually get off at Queensboro Plaza. She doesn't do any transfers. She usually just takes the R," Garcia's cousin, Tannia Illescas, was quoted as saying by CBS News.

Since the R line is around a five-minute walk from there, police are also investigating if Garcia has walked out of the station that night.

"We still have stories coming in and out, which we don't know which one to go with," the missing young woman's cousin, Samantha Robles, said.

Garcia reportedly last spoke with her boyfriend, arranging for him to meet at her family's apartment, but she did not turn up. Her family's concerns grew after they could not contact her. The family also said that Garcia's phone battery was low when her friend last saw her at Queensboro Plaza station.

Amada Robles, Garcia's mother, said their concerns are mounting as time passes by. "I love you, Yuri. I'm... I'm so nervous," she said.

Garcia was last seen wearing a short black dress with long sleeves, black and white sneakers, and black socks. She is about 4 feet, 11 inches tall.

Meanwhile, officials are requesting anyone with information on her whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
