There may still be life for the sitcom "One Day at a Time." After being canceled by the Pop TV, Sony Pictures TV has reportedly begun shopping the series to other outlets, Variety reports.

Netflix canceled “One Day at a Time” in 2019 after three seasons. The fourth season of the show was simulcast on both Pop and TV Land. Meanwhile, CBS also aired episodes of the show in October.

“ODAAT” follows the lives of three generations of a Cuban-American family. Justina Machado, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, all and Rita Moreno star in the series. The original show, created by famed producer Norman Lear, debuted in 1975 and lasted nine seasons.

Although the reboot failed to register with a mass audience during its four seasons, it has received an average 99% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite its cancellation, Sony Pictures TV plans to do everything in its power to make sure the show remains on television, Deadline reports.

The cancellation of “One Day At A Time” comes after the CBS and Viacom merger, which resulted in Pop joining the Entertainment & Youth division at Viacom.

“Schitt’s Creek” and “ODAAT” were the last of Pop's scripted series.

The fourth season of "ODAAT" was cut short amid the coronavirus pandemic, denying it a proper finale. The studio reportedly has options on the cast until the end of December.
