  • The samurai retainers continue their battle against Kaido
  • "One Piece" Episode 1006 is delayed
  • The new episode will be available on Jan. 8

After the Akazaya members renewed their vow to inherit Oden's sword style, they went all out against Kaido. "One Piece" Episode 1006 is expected to continue the cliffhanger moment from Episode 1004.

Fans will have to wait longer to watch the samurai retainers in action because the anime is on a break. The official Twitter account of the series has confirmed that "One Piece" Episode 1006 won't air this week.

"Attention crew mates! The One Piece anime will be taking a break this weekend. We'll see you in the new year when Episode 1006 launches on January 8!" its announcement read.

Meanwhile, Episode 1005 is a special broadcast titled, "Barto's Secret Room," which is available on Crunchyroll.

"Bartolomeo and Otama look back on Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew's adventures in the Land of Wano. Otama tells Bartolomeo about her meeting with Luffy, and the events leading up to the fierce battle with Kaido," the official synopsis of the special episode read, as per Crunchyroll.

In Episode 1004, titled "An Inherited Technique! Unleashing Oden’s Secret Swordplay!," Luffy was heading to the rooftop to face Kaido while Yamato was rushing after Momonosuke to protect him.

Meanwhile, the Akazaya members were up against Kaido. In the initial phase of the battle, Kaido was able to overpower the samurai warriors.

However, Kin was pumped as he remembered his mentor Oden. Toward the second half of Episode 1004, Kin and his allies were able to unleash Oden's signature two-sword style.

"While Luffy is hurrying to the rooftop and Yamato is trying to catch up to Momonosuke to protect him, the Akazaya members finally face off against Kaido. Hearing Kaido jeering at them for being weak, the samurai retainers attack him relentlessly, remembering the day Oden told them to master his sword skill," the official synopsis of Episode 1004 read, according to Crunchyroll.

The cast of "One Piece" anime includes Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Chikao Otsuka as Gol D. Roger, Hiroshi Iwasaki as Kurozumi Orochi, Hiroya Ishimaru as Oden Kozuki, Keiko Han as Toki Kozuki, Ai Orikasa as Momonosuke Kozuki, Shigeru Chiba as Buggy, Shuuichi Ikeda as Shanks, Gorou Naya as Crocus, Takahiro Fujimoto as Rakuyo, Ben Hiura as Zeff, Hideo Ishikawa as Fullbody and Ryūzaburō Ōtomo as Whitebeard.
