Prince Philip’s car crash victim has spoken up regarding the incident.

On Thursday, the Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a car accident. Fortunately, the 97-year-old royal wasn’t injured, but his victim, single mother Emma Fairweather, suffered an injury.

Feather was with her 9-month-old baby and a friend during the accident. She said that if it hadn’t been for their careful driving, Prince Philip’s actions could have killed them. Fairweather admitted that she felt “ignored and rejected” following the incident because no one from the palace contacted her.

She initially didn’t know that the senior royal was in the other car. She just felt bad that after panicking about the baby on the backseat, everyone went to the other car and she felt that they forgot about them.

Fairweather confessed that someone told her Prince Philip was keen on talking to her, but he was advised by a number of people against doing it. Now, Prince Philip is back to driving his new car, and Fairweather wasn’t happy with the news.

“I still haven’t had any contact from the Royal household. Maybe he should prioritise that over test driving his new car,” she told Sunday Mirror.

Fairweather also believed that Prince Philip should be punished. She wanted the royal to be prosecuted if it’s proven that he violated the law. “I think he should be treated the same as anyone else. How could you say no to prosecuting him if he’s broken the law?” she added.

Motorists found guilty of careless driving can face imprisonment and a ban.

Fairweather said she wants Prince Philip to stop driving because she’s concerned about the incident happening again. For her, there’s no reason for Prince Philip to drive because he is almost 100 years old.

She suggested that there should be retesting for old age pensioners with driving licenses. “He might think he’ll lose his independence if he stops driving,” Fairweather said. “What about my independence? I’ve had to get my teenage son to help wash and dress me.”

In related news, Prince Charles previously voiced his concern about his old father still driving his own automobile. According to the Prince of Wales, he is always worried when the senior royal is behind the wheel.
