Ryoma Echizen is thrown out of Japan's elite U-17 training camp and he is devastated. However, there is something good in store for Ryoma in "The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup" Episode 1.

The official website has unveiled the synopsis and spoiler stills of Episode 1. Players from each country have gathered in Australia, the venue for the U-17 World Cup.

A team from Japan, led by Byodoin, has arrived with 15 junior high school students. Ryoma, who was kicked out of the national team's training camp, responds to Ryoga's invitation to participate in the selection meet for the U.S. national team.

Other American national players challenge Ryoma lightly. Later, Ryoma is officially welcomed as a representative of the U.S. national team.

"When tennis phenom Ryoma Echizen is kicked out of Japan's elite U-17 training camp for breaking the rules, he's despondent. But a stroke of good luck hits when he’s able to try out for the U.S. team," read the official synopsis of "The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup" anime, according to Crunchyroll. "Proving himself against their hardened veterans isn't going to be easy, and if he is accepted, he'll have to play against his former friends. Can he help his new brothers smash their way to victory?"

"The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup" anime, directed by Keiichiri Kawaguchi, is based on the original story by Takeshi Konomi.

Mitsutaka Hirota has done the series composition, Chihiro Tamaki has composed the music and Yuki Matsuoka is handling the sound direction. Akiharu Ishii is the chief animation director, while Akira Ito of Studio ARA is credited for art direction.

The opening theme song, "I can fly," is performed by Yoshiki Ezaki and Bleecker Chrome. The ending theme song, "Dear Friends," is by TeniPri Artistars.

"The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup" Episode 1 will air Wednesday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The installment will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles. An English dubbed version is expected to release later.

The anime is titled "Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup" in Japanese.
