Princess Diana always worried more about Prince Harry than Prince William, according to a documentary.

In Netflix’s “The Royals,” royal expert Jennie Bond said that Princess Diana worried about Prince Harry more because of his position in the royal family.

“Diana always told me she was a little bit worried about Harry. She was worried that he would get overshadowed, that he didn’t have a proper role if you like. This is always a historic problem for the spare. You have an ‘heir’ and you have a ‘spare,’” she said.

The documentary also claimed that it would be immensely difficult for Prince Harry to find a role since he’s the younger brother of the future King. There have also been rumors suggesting that Prince Harry is jealous of Prince William because the latter is second in line the throne.

But last year, Prince Harry silenced these speculations when he said that he has no interest in becoming a future King.

“Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time. We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people,” Prince Harry said (via Express).

In related news, Princess Diana also reportedly thought that Prince Harry would make a good future king than Prince William. Ken Wharfe, the Princess of Wales’ former bodyguard, talked about the mom of two on Robert Jobson’s podcast. He said that Princess Diana used to refer to her youngest son as “Good King Harry.”

“This was because he would always raise this question of his brother Prince William becoming King. Many, including Diana, thought that Harry – given his predilection to being quite robust and good at taking orders would have made a good king himself,” he said (via Express).

Earlier this year, Angela Levin said in “Harry: Conversations With the Prince” that Princess Diana was less confident in Prince William becoming the future King.

“Harry’s seeming ability to cope, his ease with people and general gusto led Diana to believe that he would handle being king more easily than William,” she wrote.
