Princess Diana had an eerie premonition of her own death.

The late Princess of Wales was disturbed when she learned that Gianni Versace was murdered. Princess Diana was on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea with her boyfriend Dodi Fayed when she received the tragic news.

Prince Charles’ ex-wife was devastated with Versace’s death that she came to a point of asking Fayed’s bodyguard Lee Sansum if there’s a possibility that the same incident would happen to her. She also thought of getting murdered by someone at the time.

“They will do it when I am in a small plane, in a car when I am driving, or in a helicopter,” Princess Diana once told her designer friend Roberto Devorik about her suspicions that she would be murdered.

Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell also shared the same thing. According to him, months before the accident, the People’s Princess had been writing him letters discussing her fears about Prince Charles’ staging an automobile accident to kill her.

Burrell confronted Princess Diana about it, but she insisted that her intuition was telling her that it would happen. She felt that the Prince of Wales wanted her dead, so he could marry Camilla Parker Bowles. Princess Diana kept on writing to Burrell about her fears by leaving a note on his desk for him to read the following day.

“I fear my husband is going to kill me,” Princess Diana wrote, adding that it would happen in “an automobile accident.” The princess added that there would be head injuries. Burrell felt that it was spooky how Princess Diana predicted her own death nine months before the accident.

Firefighter Xavier Gourmelon, who was among the first people of emergency services that responded in the tunnel, thought that Princess Diana would survive the fatal car crash. According to her, Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom was in better shape compared to the other passengers and there was no blood.

When they took her in the ambulance Princess Diana was still alive and he expected her to live. So, he was upset after learning that she had died in the hospital.
