Priyanka Chopra highlighted the ongoing pandemic situation in India by sharing a painful video on Instagram Sunday.

"The battle to stop the ravaging effects of Covid-19 in India still continues unabated," Chopra captioned her post. "Your contributions to @give_india will make a huge, tangible difference!"

"Your contributions will save lives," she added. "#TogetherForIndia @give_india Click the link in bio to donate."

The video, which was produced in partnership with non-profit organization GiveIndia, features heartbreaking scenes at Indian hospitals which have been overwhelmed due to the pandemic. It includes photos and clips showing crowded hospitals, patients receiving treatment in their cars, and the bodies of those who lost the fight against the deadly infection.

Chopra has also included a link to GiveIndia's fundraiser in her bio to encourage more people to support India's exhausted health infrastructure by making donations.

Last week, the 38-year-old actress also took to Instagram to encourage everyone to support her home country.

"India, my home, is suffering the world’s worst Covid crisis, and we all need to help! People are dying in record numbers," she said. "There is illness everywhere, and it’s only continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale."

"We need to beat this virus, and to do that requires ALL of us," she concluded. "From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!"

Besides Chopra, Katy Perry also took to Instagram on Saturday to talk about the recent COVID-19 surge in India and how people can help.

The 36-year-old singer posted a picture detailing the cost of some of the most urgent needs in Indian hospitals and how many patients are in dire need of them. "Urgently needed, " the text on the upper part of the image reads.

"You may have heard about the devastation the pandemic is having in India right now: Each day a new world record is set for the number of Covid cases (386,453 JUST TODAY according to @NPR) with the peak still to come," she wrote in the caption.

"Hospitals have stopped admitting patients because they are running low on vital supplies and equipment, including oxygen, leaving people to watch loved ones die on stretchers outside the hospital doors," she added.

"My friends at the @thebritishasiantrust are trying to help by getting as many oxygen concentrators to hospitals as quickly as possible," she concluded. "If you'd like to help, please consider donating at the link in my bio."

Chopra will be next seen in "The Matrix 4," which is slated for release on Dec. 16, 2021.
