Puppy Bowl 2015
The 2015 Puppy Bowl airs Sunday, Feb. 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST on Animal Planet. Animal Planet/Discovery

Super Bowl XLIX is almost upon us and that means so is the 2015 Puppy Bowl. For those who prefer to watch cute, cuddly animals roughhouse instead of tuning in to see the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks go head-to-head, here is your ultimate guide to this year’s game. Whether you want to watch the show on TV or online via a live stream, below is all the information you need about Puppy Bowl 2015.

Animal Planet will host this year’s 11th annual Puppy Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 1. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. EST. Unlike previous competitions, this year's game will pit the athletic — and adoptable— pups against one another. The two teams are aptly named Team Ruff, also known as the green team, and Team Fluff, the yellow team. “From barking beagles and spunky spaniels to everything in between, we’ve got the cutest players taking the field on the most action-packed Sunday of the year,” said the network.

And they’re not joking when they saying “everything in between.” While there will be at least 55 puppies and 20 young felines in attendance, there will be also five Nigerian Dwarf goats. According to TMZ, the goats will take on the role of “cheerleaders” at the event. Meep the Bird will also make his annual appearance as the game’s “sideline reporter.” On game day, you can read his minute-by-minute updates on Twitter by following @MeepTheBird. Dan Schachner will also reprise his role as the referee. In order to keep the animals in line, 65 “puppy escorts” and dozens of volunteers will reportedly be on standby.

The show will feature a halftime performance by Katty Furry— a feline play on Super Bowl’s halftime performer, pop singer Katy Perry. While Katty Furry may not have the vocal chops of the “Roar” signer, word has it she will have a pretty amazing outfit for the BISSELL-sponsored show. TMZ reports that her getup was created by a famous pet clothing designer who is also known to have worked with socialite Paris Hilton’s pampered pets.

If you want to tune in to the 2015 Puppy Bowl on television, the show runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Sunday, Feb. 1 on Animal Planet.
