Queen Elizabeth II was caught in a “very rare” moment during baby Archie’s photoshoot.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their newborn son to the world and announced that they named him Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Shortly after the baby’s public debut, Prince Harry and Markle shared a family picture on Instagram.

In the black and white photo, Markle can be seen smiling as she looks at her son in her arms. The mother and son are surrounded by Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Harry and Doria Ragland. The Queen is beaming with joy as she looks at the latest addition to the royal family.

“I don’t think anybody could do anything other than feel really quite joyful with the look on the Queen’s face. You very rarely see her so kind of smiling in that way, really joyful,” Alexandra Shulman told BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program referring to the Queen’s reaction.

The former Vogue editor found the picture “absolutely lovely.” She also noticed Ragland’s reaction as she looks down at her grandson before adding that they are the particular stars in the photo.

She added that the photocall images whether they are put out on Instagram or newspapers are very thought about. All the details were considered and they probably had a lot of shots to choose from.

“They have chosen very deliberately a shot where it doesn’t look like they are standing there in a formal line-up presenting a new member of the Royal Family,” Shulman added.

Meanwhile, for body language expert Patti Woods, Markle looked “physically uncomfortable” with motherhood compared to her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. Woods pointed out how the former “Suits” star’s face showed signs of strain. Markle’s steps were also very small and there was an obvious tension around her ankles and feet.

TalkRADIO host Kait Borsay encouraged the new mom to be honest about her pregnancy. She also warned Markle about the “rude wake up call” that awaits her. As of late, baby Archie sleeps soundly most of the time and is an absolute sweetheart and good-natured. However, this may change when he grows up.
