Queen Elizabeth has a secret Facebook account with high level of security.

An insider told Daily Mail that the Queen actually has social media presence. She reportedly has an iPad and a laptop and has a secured Facebook account.

“The Queen also has an iPad and a laptop, and she has a personal account on Facebook,” a source told the publication. “Though no one outside the Palace knows how many ‘Friends’ she has.”

However, those who are interested in adding the monarch as a friend on Facebook might have a hard time because her social media account is highly protected.

“She has her own mobile, has learned how to text and her phone is among the most sophisticated in the world. It is encrypted, like those used by the security services, and is said to be impossible to be hacked into,” the source added.

Queen Elizabeth II is not the only royal who has an active Facebook account. According to Hello! the Queen’s grandson Prince Harry has his own profile on Facebook. It was learned that Prince William’s brother used the pseudonym Spike Wells.

The Duke of Sussex has been using the social network to share photos of his holidays and to keep in touch with his loved ones. However, due to the privacy concerns surrounding the publications of his photos, Prince Harry was reportedly advised to delete his account.

Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle was also active on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook before they got married. The former “Suits” star also maintained a blog called The Tig where she freely shared anything under the sun. However, Markle deleted her personal accounts months before she tied the knot with Prince Harry.

According to Kensington Palace, Markle is “grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years.” However, she decided to delete them because “she has not used these accounts for some time.”

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II gave Prince William a new title after Prince Harry and Markle’s exit. The monarch made the Duke of Cambridge the new Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
