Royal fans are convinced that Kate Middleton had to pass a fertility test before she was allowed to marry Prince William 8 years ago.

On the online forum site Quora, several royal family followers said that Middleton’s fertility is no one’s business. However, this did not also stop them from weighing in on the matter.

Deanna Eppers, an ardent follower of the British royal family, claimed that she heard the Duchess of Cambridge indeed passed her fertility test before she tied the knot with the second in line to the throne.

“It was on a show leading up to the big day and I remember thinking, ‘Wow, I would never want anyone in the world to know I had a test like that and then saying I passed would make it worse in any way.’ As Sophie said, the Duchess of Cambridge’s job is to produce heirs,” she wrote.

Sophie Oldfield, a resident of the United Kingdom, said that it is very likely for Middleton to have undergone a fertility test.

“Diana, the Princess of Wales, had to have tests, many of her close friends have said, so I’m sure Catherine would have had to also. The wife of a future King’s main duty is to produce heirs… If they are infertile, the line of succession would cease,” she wrote.

George Dowle, a consultant, said that he doesn’t know whether or not Middleton really had to undergo the test to check her fertility. However, he is aware that Princess Diana underwent a gynecological examination to prove that she was a virgin before she wed Prince Charles.

The test was done to ensure that the first of her children was the son or daughter of Prince Charles and to continue the bloodline. Prince William was born in 1981, and he’s the eldest of two sons for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Two years later, the royal couple welcomed Prince Harry.
