Darius (Santiago Cabrera) and Grace (Jennifer Finnigan) are slipping off to Russia behind Harris’ (Ian Anthony Dale) back in tomorrow’s back-to-back episodes of “Salvation.”

In a sneak peek from Season 1, episodes 7 and 8 of the CBS sci-fi thriller, Grace reveals to Darius that she didn’t say a thing about their out-of-the-country trip to Harris. Although Darius seems surprised by Grace’s decision to keep their Russian trip a secret from Harris, the tech billionaire believes that the Pentagon press secretary has done the right thing.

“He’s already put his butt on the line,” Darius says of Harris. “He can’t do it again without any repercussions.”

But it appears that it won’t take that long before Harris finds out about Darius and Grace’s little trip. In another sneak peek from the episodes, Grace learns from her daughter Zoe (Rachel Drance) over the phone that Harris dropped by their house.

“Harris came by looking for you,” Zoe tells Grace. “He said it’s really important that you call him.”

After her conversation with Zoe, Grace tells Darius that Harris came by looking for her. Because Harris has never done that before, Grace knows that something is not right

According the synopsis for Season 1, episode 7, Darius and Grace fly to Russia in an attempt to stop a potential nuclear conflict between the U.S. and Russia.

While Darius and Grace land in Russia safely, the trailer for the back-to-back episodes reveals that airport security identifies who they really are and are taken to the country’s minister of defence.

Both taken captive, Darius and Grace grow closer to one another. At some point in the trailer, the two are seen passionately kissing each other.

Elsewhere in episode 7, Liam (Charlie Rowe) seeks solace in Amanda (Shazi Raja) following his split from Jillian (Jacqueline Byers). The trailer, however, reveals that the MIT grad student is just playing with the journalist’s feelings to find out how much she knows about the strained partnership between Tanz Industries and the government.

“Salvation” Season 1, episodes 7 and 8, air back-to-back on Wednesday, Aug. 16, starting at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS. Watch the sneak peeks below:
