Samsung Galaxy S2; S3 Set for April Landing Samsung

ZDNet Korea Friday confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S3 would be launched in April.

According to the report, the Korean electronics giant is planning to unveil the most-awaited smartphone during the Olympic Games in London.

Samsung was expected to launch Galaxy S3 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in February. But the smartphone lovers from all around the world were disheartened as Samsung ultimately did not unveil the most anticipated Android smartphone at the MWC event.

Once again, the news about the expected launch of Galaxy S3 in April has created quite a stir among Samsung enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, the journey of Galaxy S3 will not be smooth, believe smartphone experts. They think the newest Samsung device will have to face Galaxy S2, which has already won the most prestigious 'Best Smartphone' award at MWC 2012 along with Apple's iPhone 5 (due for launch this year).

The achievement of S2 is surely mounting up tremendous pressure on the company to make the next iteration better than the existing one.

Rumors suggest that Samsung has taken the challenge to make S3 much better than its predecessor and thus is planning to pack some breathtaking features in its new Android smartphone.

Android fans also believe that Galaxy S3 will carry its predecessor's torch and become the best Android phone in the market.

If Galaxy S3 carries all the rumored features, then it could give the biggest competition to iPhone 5 and eat into the market shares for other smartphones and could be considered the industry's benchmark.
