Sarah Ferguson is set to make a history at her daughter Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding.

On Thursday, the palace announced Princess Beatrice’s engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The couple’s big day is set for 2020.

According to Clive Hammond of Express, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s mom will be making a history when the latter’s big day finally comes around. Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi are expected to tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, exchanged “I do’s” in the same church.

According to Hammond, experts believe that it will be a Church of England ceremony. If that’s the case, major changes in the manner in which the church records marriages is expected to have taken effect.

At present, every marriage certificate issued in England and Wales record details of the bride and groom’s father. The details taken are their names and occupations. However, there’s a huge shakeup because mothers are now allowed to have their details registered. Thus, this could mean that the Duchess of York can become the first royal mother of the bride to appear recorded on a marriage certificate.

Shortly after the palace confirmed Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzie’s engagement, Ferguson took to social media to share her joy for the couple. The duchess also shared snaps of the newly engaged couple while announcing that the colored photos were taken by Princess Eugenie because she’s very close to her older sister.

“I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy. I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law,” Ferguson wrote.

In related news, there were rumors that Princess Beatrice banned Prince Andrew on her big day. The Duke of York is in hot water for his connection to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and Princess Beatrice reportedly doesn’t want any drama on her big day.
