Sarah Ferguson’s makeup style has changed over the years especially after her split from Prince Andrew but for the better.

Ariane Poole, founder of Ariane Poole Cosmetics and an international makeup artist to the stars who has previously done the Duchess of York’s makeup, shared how Ferguson’s glam has changed over the years following her divorce from Prince Andrew.

“Generally speaking, I think Sarah Ferguson’s makeup looks good,” Poole told Express.

“It definitely reflects the time in which the photographs were taken and we can see a shift in the amount and the boldness of her makeup from before and during her marriage to after her divorce. I personally think she looks better now than ever.”

In 1982 long before Ferguson dated Prince Andrew, she wore natural and very light makeup. Poole pointed out the duchess’ great skin and why she didn’t need a lot of heavy face makeup or concealer.

When Ferguson wears natural makeup look, her freckles come through giving her a “very youthful look.”

During the Duke and Duchess of York’s marriage, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s mom used soft and muted tones, which looked lovely on her. A year before the couple announced their separation, Ferguson was seen in a “no makeup makeup look.” Poole praised the duchess beautiful skin and added that Ferguson could get away with very little face makeup.

Following her split from Prince Andrew but ahead of their divorce, the Duke and Duchess of York were pictured together at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The makeup artist noted how her brows were left undone giving her eyes a lack of definition despite being large. However, she noticed that at the time, Ferguson started to use bold colors.

Two years after her separation from Prince Andrew, Ferguson continued experimenting with bolder colors and Poole noticed that her eyebrows have looked “fantastic.” A photo taken in 1996 showed how the color blends seamlessly on her face and hair giving her a more youthful look.

Earlier this year, Ferguson was photographed at the Lambertz Monday Night 2019 show in Cologne, Germany. Poole praised the duchess for looking “glamorous and chic without looking overdone.”

Ferguson loves green emerald dresses. The Duchess of York has been seen wearing this shade frequently. She was last seen wearing a green Ceffin dress on Wednesday when she visited the Onsite Gallery in Toronto.
