Glen Powell opened up about what he thought of Chad Radwell’s death in Season 2, episode 3 of “Scream Queens.”

In a new behind-the-scenes interview released by FOX, Powell said that he finds the death of his character “pretty glorious.” And although he’s “sad” that Chad’s mortal life had ended, he thought that viewers might still see Chanel Oberlin’s (Emma Roberts) late fiancé in other forms in the future. “On this show, there’s ghost. There’s flashbacks. So, maybe I’m not totally dead. I don’t know,” said the 28-year-old actor.

Earlier this month, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Powell also commended series creator Ryan Murphy’s bold decision to kill off his character.

“At the end of the day, I think what Ryan is doing with that character death is pretty awesome,” he said. “I think with the second season you’ve got to do drastic things and, obviously, when you’re killing off major characters you’re keeping everyone on their toes. It’s a bummer when you’re the guy that gets the meat cleaver, but it is what it is.”

Powell revealed that he didn’t receive any formal notice from the higher-ups that Chad was going to be murdered, but he did admit that he saw some clues in the script that his “Scream Queens” journey was coming to an end.

“For me, I kind of got the sense as Chad started falling more and more in love with Chanel,” he said. “As soon as Chad turned and he finds a heart, we should have thought that an ax was going to fall — and lo-and-behold, it happened.”
