  • "Genshin Impact" players now have the chance to obtain a new five-star Cryo archer
  • Her name is Ganyu and she's the featured character in the game's latest banner
  • Players are wondering if Ganyu is worth spending Wishes on

Game developer miHoYo keeps rolling out new content and features "Genshin Impact" to ensure that players won't get tired of playing. It regularly introduces new events and characters as well. With the launch of a new character banner in the game, many players are wondering if the five-star Cryo character is with spending Wishes on.

Who Is Ganyu?

Ganyu is the featured character in the recently launched wish banner of "Genshin Impact." She is a five-star Cryo archer who is becoming a fan-favorite character, with several fans planning to use tons of Primogems just to obtain her. But how much would it take to get Ganyu? And of course, the bigger question -- is she worth spending resources on?

What Are The Odds Of Pulling Ganyu?

Like all other five-star characters in the game, it will take lots of pulls to obtain Ganyu in her banner. While the odds of pulling any five-star character in a banner is 0.6 percent, the odds of a featured character is 50 percent. With the game's pity system, after 90 pulls, characters are guaranteed to get a five-star character.

If players obtain a five-star character that is not the featured one after 90 pulls, they are guaranteed to get the featured character after another 90 pulls. In other words, players have to make not more than 180 pulls to get Ganyu. This is equivalent to 22,800 Primogems or approximately $365 worth of Primogems, as per Forbes.

Should Players Spend For Ganyu?

Ganyu is an average hero and works well when paired with a Pyro character. However, Inverse claims that she is a good support character that players can add to their teams. Her abilities include freezing enemies quickly and with a Pyro character, players can use a Melt effect to tear down frozen opponents. However, the site notes that Ganyu won't be a boon if the team lacks a Pyro character.

Aside from the featured character, there are no notable four-star characters that players can pull from the banner. While these characters are good, they are not that "game-changing." For players who want to try their luck in the latest banner, they could opt for Xingqui, which when maxed out could be a good support character.
