Saturday Night Live took shots at the Democrats’ success in recent Virginia and New Jersey elections with a skit featuring the Democratic National Committee's aged leaders declaring “We’re back baby!”

SNL’s Kate McKinnon reprised her role as Hillary Clinton, while Democratic congressional leaders including Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and even Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., were portrayed in the skit mocking the Democratic Party’s recent election success. The SNL bit takes shots at several criticisms of the party, ranging from Sanders’ liberal base being disconnected from the party's establishment and Donna Brazile’s scathing new book about the 2016 presidential election, Hacks.

The skit also takes aim at the party leadership’s dry humor attempts to tout diversity and lame attempts to appeal to young Millennial voters. Larry David, playing Sanders, is seen mocking his own controversial comments about the Holocaust from the previous week's show.

The Pelosi character touts the party's desire to "convert Confederate monuments into statues of prominent lesbian poets."

“And we learned our lesson from the last election, we can’t just appeal to coastal elites. We need mouth-breathers from Wisconsin and window-lickers from Ohio,” declare Pelosi and Feinstein’s characters, as portrayed by McKinnon and Cecily Strong.

Sen. Chuck Schumer is portrayed by Alex Moffat and Larry David reprised his role as Bernie Sanders. Former Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine speaks in Spanish throughout the skit to make light of the party's reachout attempts to Hispanic voters.

“I’m team player, Donna Brazile!” declares the former DNC chair, as portrayed by Leslie Jones.

The ad concludes with a screenshot showing that Mark Cuban's 2020 Republican presidential campaign is responsible for funding the DNC advertisement.
