Summer hasn’t left yet, but these movies aren’t sticking around for the end of the season. Several movies will leave Netflix in August, and quite a few of them are fan favorites.

Horror fans will be losing plenty. The first three “Final Destination” movies, “Poltergeist” and “The Village” are all expiring. Netflix isn’t just losing the thrills and scares.

“A Cinderella Story” and two sequels will live happily ever after elsewhere (likely on HBO Max, the new WarnerMedia streaming service). Both the 1988 version and 2007 remake of “Hairspray” will say “good morning, Baltimore” for the last time on Aug. 1. “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” and “The Emoji Movie” are also among the family friendly movies leaving Netflix.

Some award-winning dramas will be leaving as well. “The Hurt Locker” and “Wind River,” both starring Jeremy Renner, will expire in August. “Good Will Hunting,” “Gosford Park,” “Scarface” and “No Country For Old Men” will also disappear from Netflix.

Sci-fi/fantasy favorites like “The Fifth Element,” “Zombieland” and “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” will also stop streaming on Netflix next month.
