A meme that has been making the rounds on social media Tuesday has been debunked by Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

In the meme, Lawrence, 19, is claimed to have raved about the fast food meal he received at the White House on Monday, which was made up of an assortment of Burger King, McDonald’s, and Wendy’s burgers.

The meme depicts Lawrence with the quote, “President Trump got all our favorite foods. It was the best meal we ever had. Then we go and see the coastal elite media trashing it for not being organic vegan. We’re football players, not bloggers. This was a perfect blue-collar party.”

A tweet from Lawrence Tuesday cleared the air as he wrote, “I never said this by the way… I don’t know where it came from. However, the trip to the White House was awesome!”

The Clemson Tigers were invited to visit the White House after they defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA College Football Playoff championship on Jan. 7.

Because of the government shutdown, the players dined on an array of American fast food, which was reported to have cost around $3,000, The Washington Post reported. Trump footed the bill for the meal.
