The biggest advantage of this tool, apart from its astonishing feature wherein you can jailbreak older devices on any version between iOS 3.0.0 - iOS 5.0.1, it is mainly used to preserve basebands. The previous version - 2.9 - had some minor bug issue and was creating problems for iPhone 3G users who tried to access their basebands using the program. The new 2.9.1 version deals with all existing problems and fixes any such bug issues.

The developer has also stated that the problems concerning iPad baseband's flash problem and a few PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) issues have been fixed.
