A man in Holladay, Utah, was charged Wednesday for having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

According to local reports, the accused, identified as 24-year-old Raymond Alexander Jones, met the victim on Snapchat and then the two agreed on meeting in private. He picked the girl up. The two then drove to his house where he offered the minor marijuana, which they smoked and then engaged in sex.

According to the charging documents, the victim confessed to the investigators that the accused gave her “a clear bottle with a clear substance,” which she drank, “and a short time later, she felt out of it. Jones then carried her into a bedroom where “he kept doing it." The Information regarding the substance in the bottle, as well as the exact date of the incident, were not known.

The accused was arrested Tuesday and charged on the grounds of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony, by the 3rd District Court, Utah, on Wednesday. A $250,000 warrant was issued for his arrest.

In May 2018 Jones was placed on probation. He took a plea in abeyance, pleading guilty to burglary and assault. His guilty plea would be held in abeyance for 36 months. A plea in abeyance gave Jones a chance to have his criminal charges dismissed by the prosecuting attorney if he agrees to meet certain conditions. Jones, however, did multiple violations during his probation due to which he went in and out of jail several times over the next year and a half. The accused was still on probation when the current incident took place.
