Many people count broccoli among the superfoods due to its various nutritional benefits. The fiber, vitamins and minerals that your body gets from broccoli work to cut down cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of heart diseases and aid in weight-loss.

Broccoli, a member of the cruciferous family with green branches and florets, has a vague resemblance to a tree, which makes the veggie as relaxing to look at as beneficial to eat.

The love for the green veggie grew on a Reddit user so much so that they perceived a tree as broccoli, leaving his fellow users confused about whether to laugh or call it creepy.

The Reddit user shared a photo on the subreddit r/funny, which showed a tree with a thin trunk and lush green foliage. The light and timing of the photo made it look exactly like humongous broccoli.

"There's a huge broccoli outside," the post read.

The picture shot to viral fame on the platform, garnering 48.5k upvotes and hundreds of comments.

The photo was met with amusing comments, where some called it a capture straight out of their nightmares while others were left laughing out loud.

"It's how I got my kids to eat the stuff... I called them trees," one user wrote in the comments. "Kill it with melted cheese!" wrote another.

Picky-eaters tend to give broccoli a ditch because of its bland taste, but a woman said, calling the vegetable a tree actually made her daughters eat it.

"Same here with my daughters! But they must have liked the flavor anyway or they wouldn't have eaten them."

"We called them dinosaur trees," a user quipped. "Bring out the cheese! Cheese for everyone!" wrote another.
