  • A GOP group transforms Trump into Thanos in a weird campaign video
  • The video shows Thanos/Trump disintegrating Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler with a snap of his fingers
  • Thanos' creator is displeased with the campaign video

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the supervillain Thanos -- who destroyed half of all life in the universe in seconds -- is Evil Incarnate; a ruthless mass murderer of billions of humans and aliens alike. In other words, Thanos is a bad guy.

Well, the "smart" guys at Trump War Room (apparently part of the Trump campaign for president) decided to make a campaign material depicting Trump as Thanos. Wow!

A 21 second-long video they put togther shows a smirking Trump as Thanos, snapping his fingers to disintegrate a group of Democratic Party leaders at the forefront of the Trump impeachment inquiry in the House. Among those "disintegrated" were House Spaeker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY), and House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA). All through the video was the campaign message "Text Trump to 88022."

The GOP group captioned the video, "House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want. President Trump's re-election is inevitable."

How @TrumpWarRoom decided that portraying Trump as the villain was a great way to get votes is beyond comprehension.

Incensed by the @TrumpWarRoom stunt was writer-artist Jim Starlin, who created Thanos. The supervillain made his first appearance in The Invincible Iron Man #55 (February 1973).

"How sick is that? " asked Starlin about the Thanos/Trump video, reports TMZ. "These are sad and strange times we are going through. Fortunately all things, even national nightmares, eventually come to an end."

Starlin also said Trump has an infantile ego, the report noted. He said he felt violated by video, which was produced without his permission.

Here's another thing Trump War Room forgot. Thanos and his minions were disintegrated by Tony Stark (Iron Man) using the Infinity Stones in "Avengers: Endgame." If you really want to juxtapose life with fantasy, then we can rightfully also claim Thanos/Trump and his allies were disintegrated by Democrats using the Infinity Stones (the impeachment inquiry in the House). Twitter seems to agree.

“And I... am... Madam Speaker. #thanos,” posted one user, with the photo of a grinning Pelosi holding up her right hand wearing a glove with all five Infinity Stones.

"So Trump is Thanos and the Democrats are the Avengers trying to restore democracy that evil Republicans have nearly destroyed," tweeted another in response to the video.

Another said, "You've made Trump a supervillain and depicted him in the scene where his plan to kill everyone in the universe falls apart due to his arrogance and incompetence."
