Meghan Markle and Beyonce Knowles-Carter have officially met. The Duchess of Sussex met the “Single Ladies” singer at the London premiere of “The Lion King” on Sunday.

Video from the event shows that Beyoncé and Meghan shared a hug and kisses on the cheeks. Their respective spouses, Jay-Z and Prince Harry, were also present. Meghan gave Jay two kisses as well while Harry gave him a handshake.

Many fans believe Beyoncé can be seen saying, “my princess,” as the two hug.

According to Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English, the two couples spoke about being parents. The recording artists left their 2-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, at home while they traveled abroad. Archie, 2 months, was also left at home for the night.

Jay also gave the new parents a tip. “The best advice I can give you, always find time for yourself,” he reportedly said.

Beyonce and Jay-Z gave the Duchess of Sussex a special shout out when they won a Brit award earlier this year. They recreated a scene from one of their music videos, but instead of the Mona Lisa, they stood in front of a painting of Meghan Markle by artist Tim O’Brien.

The Duchess, meanwhile, seems to be a Beyoncé fan. Before she was a royal, she referenced the singer on her Instagram.

Of course, it wasn’t just a mutual appreciation that brought them together. The European “Lion King” premiere was held in “support of the conservation and communities work of His Royal Highness through The Royal Foundation,” Buckingham Palace said (via the Evening Standard).

Meghan and Harry met many cast members from the new “Lion King” remake, including Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Pharrell, Florence Kasumba and Keegan Michael-Key as well as director Jon Favreau.
