When will Netflix release Season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy" for viewers to stream? James Minchin/FX

UPDATE: "Sons of Anarchy" Season 6 will be available on Netflix for streaming starting Oct. 25. Click HERE for more information.

“Sons of Anarchy” might be airing its Season 7 premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 9, but that hasn’t deterred fans from wondering when Season 6 of the beloved FX series will be available on Netflix for binge-watching. Thus far, Seasons 1 through 5 of the hit crime drama have been made accessible for viewers to enjoy before the premiere of the show’s final season. But the question remains: When can fans relive the jaw-dropping sixth season of the Kurt Sutter-created thriller?

Netflix spokesperson Anne Wallin told International Business Times that there’s been no confirmation of a Season 6 release date.

The fifth season made its Netflix debut on Oct. 26, 2013, just 46 days after Season 6 premiered. So viewers are expecting Season 6 of “SoA” to follow suit and be released on the popular streaming device sometime around late October.

The only problem with this strategy is that viewers who haven't seen Season 6 will be unable to catch up before episode 1, “Black Widower,” airs, which means either going into Season 7 completely unaware of the shenanigans that occurred last fall or not tuning in until they’ve caught up.

For those who refuse to miss out on the Season 7 action, you can check out a recap of the Season 6 finale here or you can just go into the final season cold. But beware, a lot went down in the sixth season of “SoA,” and according to Sutter, Season 7 is going to be even wilder.

Not every TV show will suffer the same fate as "Sons of Anarchy." Over a dozen past seasons of shows from "Scandal" to "Sherlock" will be available on Netflix prior to their new season premieres. Check out the Netflix release dates here.
