Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is about to add another show to his resume. The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" star announced on Tuesday that he will be co-hosting a new prank show alongside Mark Rober. So, just who is his new co-lead?

The question of who is Mark Rober could easily be answered by his nearly 10 million subscribers on YouTube. The ex-NASA engineer became a YouTuber and content creator in 2011, launching himself into the spotlight with a 2018 viral video showcasing himself enacting justice on thieves who had stolen a package from his front porch with a homemade glitter bomb.

As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Rober has even larger ambitions and will be taking his career to the next step alongside Kimmel. The pair will be hosting a new series called “Revenge of the Nerd” (working title), wherein the duo will be performing antics that mirror his 2018 glitter bomb video, which now nears 80 million views and even has its own sequel with 18M views to date since its Dec. 15 upload.

Rober and Kimmel announced the new show on Tuesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Discovery Channel has already ordered eight episodes of “Revenge of the Nerd.” The YouTuber expects to “right the world of wrongs” with the new show which will use hidden cameras to catch troublemakers in the act, much like “To Catch a Predator,” only lighthearted and science-oriented.

While “Revenge of the Nerd” will feature both Kimmel and Rober, the YouTuber explained that he will work alongside what he calls “Avengineers” in designing home-made technology that will (hopefully) teach said evildoers of their wrongdoing.

The new series will be, according to Deadline, executive produced by both Kimmel and Rober, who both met a few months before his glitter bomb video took off on Kimmel’s live show.
