YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul announced on Tuesday that he’s uprooting his life in California and moving to Puerto Rico.

The 25-year-old explained on his podcast, “imPaulsive,” that he’s moving because of the “[explicit] insane” taxes the state of California has.

He also explained that while his brother, Jake Paul, will be moving to somewhere in Florida, he made the decision to call this beautiful island home because of its low taxes, relative seclusion and island lifestyle, according to Pop Culture.

“I went out there to scout it, and I fell in love with it. Obviously, I’m impulsive, and I trust my gut, my instincts. I feel like it’s the closing of a chapter and the opening of a new one,” he stated.

When he’ll be making this big move is unknown, but citizens of Puerto Rico seem unhappy with this news.

Californians on the other hand, couldn’t be happier to get the YouTuber out of the state and country.

Logan first rose to fame after becoming a popular creator on the app, Vine, and shortly after started creating YouTube videos.

He entered into the negative limelight of Hollywood in 2018 after he visited the “suicide forest” in Mount Fuji and posted a video on his channel of a deceased individual who just died by suicide in said forest.

This led to a snowball effect of controversies, including him deciding to “go gay” one month, which led many to decide to “cancel” him or stop supporting him.

His career recently took a turn when he took up boxing, but only has one fight on his professional record, according to Sports Skeeda. He’s still slated to fight Floyd Mayweather when it’s safe to do so.
