Since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in May 2018, she has been the target of criticism from royal fans. Over the past few months, there have been a variety of reports accusing the 37-year-old of breaking royal rules and feuding with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

While there has been no proof to the rumors, royal commentator Victoria Arbiter revealed Meghan is being blamed for any mishaps that happen to the royal family because she is “different.”

According to the Express UK, royalists believe Meghan is trying to disrupt the monarchy, but in reality, she is being guided by a team of advisor during this time of change.

“Whatever Meghan starts to bring to the table it is being guided by a whole team behind the scenes. She is not just going rogue and saying this is how I want to do things, she is too smart for that, I don’t think she is interested in that and why would she do that to Harry,” Arbiter said.

When Meghan first joined the royal family, they were reports suggesting she was hoping to modernize the monarchy. Arbiter noted that traditions in the royal family were going to change with or without Meghan’s help.

“People also have to remember the only reason the monarchy exists today 1000 years after it was started is because of its ability to adapt and evolve. With that adaptation comes new ways of doing things,” the royal commentator explained.

Meghan will be front and center to witness the modernization of the treasured monarchy, but Arbiter believes the Duchess of Sussex will continue to deal with people who are unwilling to accept the imminent change.

“We are going to see Meghan really stepping up in terms of her interests. It is odd to me that some people have said it is because she is different, and when I say different I mean she is the first woman of mixed race heritage to marry into the royal family,” Arbiter revealed.

“Some traditionalists have seen that as a problem so she has been an easy target. She has been someone easy to blame if they think things are being done differently.”

Luckily, Meghan will have Prince Harry by her side, who has been reportedly working to protect her against the negativity.
