In the wake of the ITV documentary "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey," there have been a lot of reports that the royal family is trying to distance themselves from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. With Remembrance Day approaching, it is likely that they will be literally distanced from each other but if it's anything like last year, it's not something that needs to be read into.

Last year, Meghan did not stand with Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, during the ceremony that honors those who lost their lives in World War I. Instead she "watched from the balcony of another window outside the Cenotaph war memorial in London," as People reported.

The former "Suits" actress' placement wasn't as much of a snub as it was logistical. The publication noted that "it’s nearly impossible to fit more than three or four women" on the balcony due to it being so small.

In addition to the limited amount of space, according to Express, the royal protocol also comes in to play. The British publication wrote, "Royal protocol also plays a part in the positioning of the royals: During official events, the Royal Family arranges themselves according to a royal 'pecking order'."

With everything that has gone on Meghan and Prince Harry lately, they may not have to worry about royal protocol anymore as some have speculated that they could leave the royal family.

It remains to be determined what the parents of 6-month-old Archie plan to do in regards to that but they apparently aren't alone in their struggles. As previously reported, Meghan has a strong ally in Prince Charles.

"Charles showed so much love towards Harry and Meghan, and I think Harry will be eternally grateful to his papa for stepping in and giving Meghan’s hand in marriage," a source revealed. "The bond between them is very close."
