The chicken sandwich war shows no signs of slowing down, and Wendy’s has decided to step up the competition with a new dish customers can try for free.

This week the fast-food chain announced its plan to add the Classic Chicken Sandwich to its menu. Luckily for customers, they can get their hands on the newest addition to the chicken sandwich craze for free for a limited time.

From now until Nov. 8, customers can receive a free Classic Chicken Sandwich with any additional purchase by using a mobile app or by heading to a location to pick up the freebie.

Customers will be allowed to get one free sandwich per week, which means they can get a total of two free Classic Chicken Sandwiches by Nov. 8.

The new Classic Chicken Sandwich features a premium chicken breast with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a toasted bun.

“We can’t wait for our fans to get their hands on the New Classic Chicken Sandwich which has the perfect crunch from breading and pickles paired with the juiciness and flavor of the fillet,” Carl Loredo, the chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

“The Classic joins what customers have already come to know and love in spice and taste from Wendy’s via our Spicy Chicken and Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwiches.”

The Classic Chicken Sandwich retails for $4.99 and will replace all premium chicken filets featured on the menu including the new Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich, Bacon Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich, and Asiago Ranch Chicken Club.
