People would absolutely love to see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool together in a movie and have been urging producers to make this magic happen. But what do the stars themselves think about this collaboration?

“I’m hesitating,” Jackman told Variety about the potential Wolverine-Deadpool movie, adding, “because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit.” However, he did caution that “the timing may be wrong.”

As for Reynolds, he earlier told Entertainment Weekly that the two mutants “would light the screen on fire,” so he’d love for them to work together. “I want Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together. What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh,” he said.

Reynolds said that he really idolizes Jackman, and it would be a huge treat to work with him. “Hugh Jackman is one of the best human beings. Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy,” he said.

For now, Jackman has a third “Wolverine” film in the works titled “Logan.” Fans are already eager to see the film, which is the first R-rated “Wolverine” film ever made.

In fact, Slash Film reported that Jackson agreed to a pay cut just so the studio would agree for them to have a more violent and aggressive content. “[This represents] to me the kind of aggressive, classical Wolverine action that we want in the movie – more of something that fans have been asking for, for a really long time,” said director James Mangold. “We’ve been limited in one way or another from giving it to them, but I think we’ve got the go-ahead to really go for it on this picture.”

“Logan” will be released on March 3.
