Bryan Singer recently teased an appearance by Archangel in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” In the Instagram image, the director can be seen on the set holding what looks like the metallic-feather blades of Ben Hardy’s character. Other crew members can be seen in his background and they appear to be preparing for a scene, probably starring Archangel/Warren Worthington.

Singer captioned the picture, “Playing air guitar #archangel #xmen #xmenapocalypse.” According to Comic Book, the production team appears to be getting ready for a big reveal and it could be the complete look of Archangel.

The concept art of the character has been released previously and it shows Hardy sporting metallic wings and silver hair in the crown area. Empire magazine provided the first glimpse of Archangel’s concept art. In one of the photos (via Slash Film), he can be seen with the wings and in other without the wings.

According to Singer, Hardy’s version of Archangel will be different from what has been portrayed in the comic books.

“Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you! But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say,” he told. In the comic book, Archangel/ Worthington is born in a wealthy family. He hides his wings under his clothes but uses them to fly when fire strikes his dormitory. His powers include healing, razor sharp feathers, aerial adaptation and immunity to injury. He made his first appearance in “X-Factor: No.38.”

Specific details about Hardy’s angel are yet to be known. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is being shot in Montreal. The cast also includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman and Lana Condor. It opens May 27, 2016.
