They were all certain that the case against Cane would be thrown out and there would be nothing that could be used to support Juliet’s claims. However, now that the bombshell video showing her entering his hotel room in Tokyo with him has surfaced, everyone will start to question just how honest Cane has been on the Thursday, June 22 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Cane (Daniel Goddard) was named as the culprit in Juliet’s (Laur Allen) sexual harassment suit against Brash and Sassy, which she filed after she was fired over the nearly botched hockey deal on the CBS soap. Since then, he has been actively trying to prove that he never coerced her into having sex with him so she could have a job, and everyone has believed him. However, he also believes he did have sex with Juliet in Tokyo while they were drunk, and he has wanted to keep that information from his wife, Lily (Christel Khalil). But with the new video evidence that shows Juliet spent the night in his hotel room, she is doubting him, and she now wants answers.

“I want to know exactly what happened in your hotel room,” she says in a preview clip.

Cane and Juliet on "The Young and the Restless"
Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) honesty will be questioned after the bombshell video reveal on the June 22, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

Cane will admit to her that he wasn’t planning to tell her that he had passed out in his room and woken up alone, changing the story from what he believes it may really be. He genuinely does not remember having sex with Juliet, but since she swears they did, he wants Lily to believe nothing happened. However, the fact that he didn’t even tell her that he didn’t remember what happened that night is something that will weigh on her, and their marriage, and she will start doubting him because of it.

However, she isn’t the only one who has some doubts about what Cane is saying now. Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Billy (Jason Thompson) were also blindsided by the video, and now, Billy will urge Victoria that they should settle the case because Cane is clearly lying about things, and may be lying about something even bigger. He feels if they don’t settle and a bigger issue is brought to the surface it could hurt the company in far worse ways than a settlement ever would.

“You’ve got to settle the case, ok?” He says in the clip. “We can’t keep going on like this. We have no idea what the next bombshell is going to be.”

However, both Victoria and Michael will feel that the video may show Juliet spent the night in the hotel room with Cane, but doesn’t prove he coerced her into sex behind the closed door. Because it also seems suspicious that she didn’t seem to have a problem with him allegedly harassing her until after she lost her job, they will decide, after talking to Cane, that they will still proceed with the case as planned. However, if Billy’s instincts are right and there is something else Cane is hiding, it could be a decision that will ruin them all.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
