The fall air has only begun to creep in on Salem, Genoa City and Los Angeles, but the chilly temperatures are also bringing some major twists on “Days of Our Lives,” “Young and the Restless,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Shock, betrayal and threatening behavior all took center stage as the drama heated up on all three soaps. In case you missed a moment of the action, here are the four biggest moments from the week of October 9.

“Days Of Our Lives” (NBC)

Xander Is Back In A Big Way

He was last seen after he brought Theresa (Jen Lilley) back to Salem, but now, Xander (Paul Telfer) is back—and in a very big way. Not only did he show his face when Eric (Greg Vaughan) found Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and revealed he had blackmailed her into marrying him, but he’s secretly working with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) on her mystery patient-- “E.D.” If that weren’t enough, he also dropped a massive bombshell, admitting he was the one who actually shot Marlena (Deidre Hall) at her wedding, though his real target had been Eric.

“Young And The Restless” (CBS)

A New Threat Emerges

If Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Sharon (Sharon Case), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) thought they were out of the woods and no one would ever find out what they did to JT (Thad Luckinbill), their luck has officially run out. The women have all received threatening anonymous notes indicating that someone knows what they did—and now some blackmail is being added to the mix. Someone knows what they did—and they’re not afraid to use it against them.

Ashley Drops A Bombshell

She finally became CEO of Jabot after the Blood Abbott clause was finally abolished—however, Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) honeymoon period as the one in control of her family’s legacy was exceptionally brief. If didn’t take long for her big secret to get out—she worked with Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) to change the results of Jack’s (Peter Bergman) DNA test months ago—and he was always John Abbott’s son.

“Bold And The Beautiful” (CBS)

Bill Kisses Brooke

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) got a massive shock this week, but her learning about Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) colluding with the judge in Katie’s (Heather Tom) favor was the least of her problems. Bill (Don Diamont) once again kissed her—and this time, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) saw it happen. Now, she told Ridge, and it seems as though his marriage to Brooke may officially have reached its breaking point.
