May sweeps may be starting to wrap up, but with Summer around the corner, the heat is only getting turned up in terms of the storylines that are unfolding on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

The drama that has been unfolding in Salem, Genoa City and Los Angeles has been intense, and nothing was truer during the most recent episodes of each soap. In case you missed a minute of the action though, here are the 5 biggest things that happened during the week of May 20.

“Days Of Our Lives” (NBC):

Jack Makes A Shocking Move

Now that he is the mayor, Jack (Matthew Ashford) is preparing to create maximum destruction in Salem. Not only did he quickly make good on his promise to marry Hope (Kristian Alfonso), but he also appointed a new police commissioner. After Rafe (Galen Gering) turned down his soon to be ex-wife's job, Jack decided to give it to someone else who will do nothing except cause problems—his own wife, Eve (Kassie DePaiva).

Xander’s Partner Is Revealed

Xander’s (Paul Tefler) secret partner in staging Holly’s kidnapping and death proved to be a bombshell, as Nicole (Arianne Zucker), Holly’s own mother, was revealed to be working with him. However, it’s quickly been noted that Nicole isn’t herself—and there’s a good reason for that. Nicole isn’t actually Nicole—but Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) disguised as her with a wig and a face mask, and she has only one goal when it comes to her return to Salem—get Brady (Eric Martsolf) back once and for all.

Adam Remembers His Past

After being shot, Adam (Marc Grossman) seemed to finally have a breakthrough with his memories of life in Genoa City. However, with that breakthrough came new intentions for what he wants. He has revealed to his siblings that he wants three things, and he won’t stop until he gets them. Not only does he want half a billion dollars, but he wants to locate Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) and Connor. Most heartbreaking to Nick though is that Adam now wants Christian—which is surely going to set off a war between the brothers.

“Bold And The Beautiful” (CBS):

Hope Makes A Shocking Decision

After falling for Thomas’ (Matthew Atkinson) latest manipulation, Hope (Annika Noelle) decided that the best thing for her and Liam (Scott Clifton) would be to end their marriage. This way, she can be a mother to Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), while Liam is free to be a full-time father to Kelly and Phoebe. Now, the pair are both devastated that their marriage is falling apart—but there doesn’t seem to be anything that will save them this time around.

Steffy Returns To L.A.

Right as Hope decided to end her marriage to Liam, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) made her triumphant return to L.A. from Paris. Now, she’s as stunned as everyone else by the fact that Hope wants to end her marriage—even though it gives her a chance to be with Liam again as well.
