On Sunday night, “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 2 viewers saw Jon Walters struggle to adjust to his new life with his girlfriend, Rachel Bear, and her baby girl, Lucy. Following the episode, Jon teased fans about his relationship with Rachel’s little girl after admitting he had some doubts about becoming an instant dad.

When Rachel informed Jon that Lucy would eventually begin calling him “dada” and “dad,” he revealed he didn’t want the little girl to identify him by that label. Jon explained he thought it would be wrong to confuse Lucy by allowing her to believe he was her real father, only to break her heart with the truth when she became older.

On Monday, the star shared a photo of himself holding Rachel’s little girl on Instagram. “I’ve waited 9 months to share this photos with the world- I was never a stranger to Lucy she’s knew [sic] my face and voice and when we met in person she knew me and knew she was loved,” he captioned the photo.

Despite the sweet post, fans began to question how committed Jon was to his relationship with Rachel and her daughter. In the comment section, one fan encouraged Jon to allow Lucy to call him dad since he is all the child knows, and her biological father isn’t in her life.

“You saw her being born that is a very special gift,” the fan wrote.

However, Jon corrected the woman by explaining he only heard Lucy being born but revealed it was “an incredible experience.”

When the fan questioned whether Jon planned on allowing Lucy to call him “dad” when she gets older, the reality star refused to reveal any spoilers about what’s to come. “You’ll have to tune in,” he teased.

Later on, Jon’s replies appeared to take a serious turn when a different fan asked if the star was allowing the stress of becoming a father to another man’s child get the best of him. “I’m just a man who loves his woman- which means I made her priorities my priorities- Lucy is a precious little girl I love,” he explained.

While Jon and Rachel have already shared several photos in which they appear to be enjoying their lives together, on-screen, the couple still has several issues to work out in their relationship.

Luckily for fans, they can find out how Jon and Rachel managed to work past their issues when a new episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 2 airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
