  • Heard claimed that the image was "Photoshopped" to make it look like Depp was injured

An alleged photo from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's honeymoon in 2015 has resurfaced on social media after the actress claimed in court that another honeymoon picture showing Depp with bruises had been "Photoshopped."

Testifying in the defamation case Depp has brought against her, Heard alleged Monday that her ex-husband attacked her while aboard the Orient Express train in Asia for their honeymoon following their February 2015 wedding, the New York Post reported.

The 58-year-old actor allegedly struck her and held her by the neck while in their sleeper compartment after they got into an argument about his alcohol consumption, Heard claimed.

"Johnny slapped me across the face, held me up by the neck and pushed me up against the wall of the (train) car. I was half-kneeling, half-standing, trying to get his arms off my neck," Heard said from the stand. "He was squeezing my neck against the railway car for what felt like a very long time."

No photos have been entered into evidence displaying bruises on Heard's face or body after that alleged beating, the outlet noted. Depp has denied ever striking Heard or any woman.

During Heard's cross-examination Tuesday, Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez presented in court a photo taken aboard the Orient Express train during the former couple's July 2015 honeymoon. In the grainy shot, Depp is seen with what appears to be two black eyes as he poses with his then-wife and three other men.

"This picture shows an injury to Mr. Depp's face, doesn't it?" Vasquez asked Heard.

"I disagree," Heard responded. "I've seen this picture before, and he's not injured in it. This one is Photoshopped."

"This is the only photo from your honeymoon that shows someone injured," Vasquez said, referring to Depp. "We haven't seen any photos of injuries to your face from that train trip, have we?"

"I don't believe my face was injured from that trip," Heard said.

Days after the cross-examination, photographer Russel Wong shared on Instagram Friday a snap of Heard and Depp posing with four other people. The Singapore-born celebrity photographer said in the caption that the photo was taken at the Raffles Hotel Singapore during the exes' honeymoon.

"Why not! Happy honeymoon at the Raffles Hotel 2015 with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard!" he wrote in the caption, adding several hashtags, including "#justiceforjohnnydepp."

International Business Times could not independently verify the information. Wong did not say who took the photo.

A number of Instagram users claimed in the comments section of the post that Depp looked injured in the picture, while Heard appeared unharmed.

"I see one person with a black eye, [and] the other is Amber soooo," one person commented.

"There is Johnny's black eye. I guess Amber Heard thinks that's Photoshopped too?" another user claimed.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post about surviving domestic abuse. It did not mention Depp by name, but the actor argues that it damaged his reputation and career.

Heard is countersuing him for $100 million, claiming Depp launched a smear campaign to discredit her allegations as a "hoax."

The trial continues Monday.
