Ruffin Prentiss has joined the cast of “The Arrangement.”

According to Deadline, Prentiss will play the recurring role of popular jazz musician Xavier Hughes in Season 2 of the E! series. Shortly after news of his casting was announced, Prentiss took to Instagram to reveal how excited he is about joining the drama.

Prentiss most recently recurred as Laquan “Tall Boy” Eversley in Season 5 of CBS’ “Elementary.” He has also appeared in multiple episodes of Starz’s “Power” and CBS’ “Madam Secretary.”

News of Prentiss’ addition to the show comes roughly three weeks after it was announced that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star Garcelle Beauvais had also booked a recurring role in the sophomore run of the Jonathan Abrahams-created series. Deadline reported that Beauvais will play the role of Mason, a charismatic and intelligent businesswoman with ties to DeAnn’s (Lexa Doig) past.

Plot details about Season 2 are being kept under wraps, but one of the things that fans are eager to find out is whether Megan (Christina Evangelista) plans to harm Kyle (Josh Henderson) after vowing to burn down the Institute for the Higher Mind at the end of the Season 1 finale.

“That is a very, very good question,” Evangelista told TVLine last May when asked if Megan wants to take down Kyle together with the Institute. “Megan is at a point now where she either turns against him or she realizes that she wants to take him with her, and I’m not sure which direction it’s going to go in. I know that they genuinely love each other, and she wants to trust him, and perhaps she wants to help him in some way. Maybe a part of her plan is to get him out of the Institute? Or maybe it’s to take them all down?”

Meanwhile, since much of Megan’s backstory was already fleshed out in Season 1, Henderson told The Daily Dish that fans will likely learn more about Kyle’s past next season. “Our writer Jonathan Abrahams … wants to push the envelope even more,” Henderson said last May when asked about Season 2 plans. “He’s telling me he wants to completely continue to wow the audience. That’s a big task, but he can do it, so I got all the faith with him in the world.”

Filming for Season 2 started last month in Vancouver, but E! has yet to set a premiere date for the new season.
