A California man allegedly taped a camera to his shoe in an attempt to up an underage girl’s dress, the police said Monday.

The incident took place Sunday, around 3 p.m. local time (6 p.m. EDT) in an Apple store, located in Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek. Jacques Bloxham, 66, a Bay Area personal injury attorney and an active member of the State Bar, allegedly taped a small camera to his shoe and then “moved his shoe so that the camera was under a female juvenile’s dress.”

The suspect was reportedly spotted by the victim’s father who immediately confronted Bloxham, telling him to stop. It caused the suspect to flee the store but he ended up getting chased for several blocks by a good Samaritan. He was caught by the police a short while later. A search of his vehicle, following his arrest, revealed several cameras and recording devices, including equipment like the one he was accused of using to record the unidentified victim, San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Bloxham was booked in Contra Costa County jail on suspicion of using a camera to secretly record the undergarments of another person and annoying or molesting a child under 18. He was bailed out of the prison.

Bloxham runs his own business. According to his Yelp profile, he founded the Injury Law Center in Walnut Creek in 1986 “in response to the public's need for a personal injury attorney with honesty, integrity and a new understanding of the needs of injured clients.”

“People like the individual attention to detail and the great results that come from an attorney who cares about you. If you've been hurt because someone else was careless, call us for free and friendly consultation,” the profile read.

There were also a number of glorious reviews about the law firm from clients on the site, from a few years ago. “Jack and his wife Becky are more than helpful. He is patient and won't sell you anything he can't deliver. He may not be about all the hype but he gives results,” Connie B. from Union City wrote. Dave S. from Alameda, wrote, “Mr. Bloxham has taken care of much of my attorney needs for the past 10 years. He always delivers great results.”

The case was still under investigation and the police asked for public help in finding out if Bloxham recorded other people. Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect was requested to call Walnut Creek police at 925-256-3578.
