Get ready for new “Bachelor” star Chris Soules to sweep you off your feet! The 33-year-old farmer won over fans during Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette” and is ready to try reality TV again in order to find a wife. Viewers are ready to watch Chris on his exciting journey to love, but how did he come to star on Season 19 of “The Bachelor”?

Chris first appeared on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” last summer as one of the 25 men vying for Andi’s heart. The single stud was the second contestant out of the limo and kept a relatively low profile during the premiere. At the first elimination ceremony, he received the 14th rose out of the 19 that Andi handed out. Chris started slowly but soon became a major contender for Andi’s heart when he received her first kiss of the season.

The smooch happened in episode 2 during their one-on-one date at the Santa Anita thoroughbred racetrack. While enjoying the afternoon, Chris opened up to Andi about his history, admitting he was previously engaged. He said the relationship ended because he didn’t feel a connection. He confessed that he was looking for a relationship with somebody he couldn’t live without. Fortunately for Chris, the broken engagement wasn’t a deal breaker for the bachelorette. In fact, Andi rewarded him with a rose for being honest with her. Chris accepted, and the pair kissed while dancing to a private performance by the duo This Wild Life. The lip-lock was only the beginning of their whirlwind romance.

In episode 4, Andi received a love letter from a “secret admirer.” The bachelorette was flattered but couldn’t figure out who the writer was. Thanks to a lie detector test in episode 6, Andi got to the bottom of the mystery. Chris was noticeably unhappy when he learned he would be taking a lie detector test during his group date. He admitted to the cameras that he planned to tell Andi something, leading fans to speculate he was hiding something damaging like a secret girlfriend. But it turned out he was Andi's secret admirer. He confessed to Andi, and she gave him the group date rose as a token of her appreciation, confidence and hope in their relationship.

Chris made it all the way to the hometown date in episode 8, introducing Andi to his life on the farm in Iowa. The couple rode his tractor and enjoyed a picnic in the fields while a plane flew over with a banner that read: “Chris Loves Andi.” But despite their chemistry, Andi broke things off with Chris during the fantasy suite episode. During her final one-on-one with him before the finale, Andi admitted to Chris that she was struggling with the idea of living in Iowa and didn’t want him to have to make sacrifices for her. Chris told her he was falling in love with her, but Andi ended things, telling him the foundation in their relationship just wasn’t there. Though he was heartbroken, Chris remained a gentleman. He left after telling Andi he appreciated and respected her.

Things may not have worked out for Chris and Andi on “The Bachelorette,” but the farmer will have 30 women to date when “The Bachelor” premieres Monday night. Catch the live premiere on ABC Monday at 8 p.m. EST.
