Bella Thorne has never been one to shy away from tough issues and has been very open about her struggle with dyslexia. However, when an individual on Twitter decided to tweet some harsh words about the actress’ learning disability, she did not take it lightly.

The problem started on Tuesday night when a Twitter user tweeted at the “Famous in Love” star. “@bellathorne yeah she’s definitely the type of person where you can just look at her and know she’s dyslexic,” the Twitter user wrote.

“The way I look tells you I’m dyslexic? It’s not me always talking about it?” Thorne replied. The actress went on to point out that she also has a habit of spelling things incorrectly and not fixing her mistake and that those habits could have probably given away that she has a learning disability.

Following the actress defending herself, a fan offered their support. “Why can’t they discuss how you conquered aforementioned dyslexia and became a writer of three best-selling young adult novels?” the Twitter user wrote.

Thorne praised her fan for their positive words and acknowledged that she also wrote a blog series. “Just shows you.. doesn’t matter what you have if you want it you can get it!!” the starlet tweeted.

The actress has previously spoken out about overcoming her learning disability and encouraging others to do the same. “It was the fact that, because I’m dyslexic, I didn’t know a better way to show kids that if I’m dyslexic and I can write a three-book deal then you can do, I don’t care what disability you can, or what you think you can’t do,” she said during an interview in 2013.

“But if I can do it, then you can do it,” the actress added.

Although the Twitter user who initially insulted the former Disney star has since apologized for her actions, Thorne has not shown any signs of forgiveness.
