Camilla Parker Bowles could make Kate Middleton cry with laughter.

Many thought that the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall don’t have a great relationship, but they actually do. In fact, Camilla took Middleton for a lunch out with Pippa Middleton and her daughter Laura and they had a great time together.

According to Marcia Moody in her 2013 book “Kate: A Biography,” “Camilla would make Kate cry with laughter.” She added that following Middleton’s engagement to Prince William they spent a girls’ lunch out at Koffmann’s restaurant in London.

“The lunch lasted three hours. The group were all laughing and joking and talking at the same time, and the waiters found it hard to get a word in edgeways,” she wrote.

“At one point, Kate joked about the wedding buffet and said they could have pizza, while Camilla suggested that sausages on sticks were always good.”

In Andrew Morton’s 2011 book “William and Catherine,” the biographer revealed how the duke helped his future wife prepare for the royal life that awaited her. Prince William reportedly asked courtiers to give Middleton advice if he was working. He asked Sir David Manning, formerly Britain’s Ambassador to the United States to give Middleton lessons in protocol and intricacies of royal life. Camilla was also there to give the Duchess of Cambridge “another perspective on life in the goldfish bowl.”

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got married, Camilla gave Middleton a gold link charm bracelet that features a disc engraved with both of their monograms. On one side is a “C” for Catherine and a coronet, while on the other side is a “C” for Camilla and a crown.

Camilla and Middleton’s great relationship was apparent during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. The Duchess of Cambridge was caught on camera side-eyeing Camilla.

According to the netizens, Middleton’s didn’t throw shade at her mother-in-law. The two actually shared a laugh at the preacher and Middleton tried to not make it obvious by looking Camilla at the side to prompt her that they have to stop.

Meanwhile, the netizens commended Camilla’s choice of hat because it was broad-brimmed which kept her face hidden from the camera. One online user said that Camilla was “clever enough” because no one could see her laughing.
