Camilla Parker Bowles will make an excellent queen when Prince Charles becomes king.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are not as popular as Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In fact, some Brits prefer the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to take over the throne after Queen Elizabeth II. Many want to skip Prince Charles and Camilla.

Moreover, Camilla’s title as queen has been an issue because the palace initially announced that she will only be princess consort when Prince Charles becomes king. However, one royal expert has a different opinion.

According to Charlie Proctor, the editor-in-chief of Royal Central, Camilla will be queen consort when Prince Charles becomes the new monarch. He added that the monarchy is not a popularity contest, so they can’t just change titles based on people’s opinions. He is also positive about Camilla’s capabilities as the next queen.

“Camilla will make an excellent Queen. She is a hardworking, kind and dedicated member of The Royal Family,” Proctor told the Sun. “The backlash against Camilla is unfair and unfounded.”

He also pointed out Camilla’s great relationship with the royal family. Camilla has an excellent relationship with Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Prince Harry. She’s also close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s kids: 5-year-old Prince George, 3-year-old Princess Charlotte and 8-month-old Prince Louis.

In November, Queen Elizabeth II recognized Camilla in her speech for Prince Charles’s 70th birthday. Her Majesty mentioned how Camilla sustained the Prince of Wales to be his own man who is “passionate and creative.”

In a past interview, Prince Harry spoke up with his and Prince William’s relationship with their stepmother. According to the Duke of Sussex, Camilla is not a wicked stepmom but a wonderful woman. Prince William and Prince Harry are both close to Camilla.

Prince Harry also called the people to not be sorry for him and his brother. Instead, they should be sorry for Camilla due to the harsh criticism she endured.

The public and the press harassed the duchess due to his affair with Prince Charles. The backlash started after Princess Diana disclosed in her infamous “Panorama” interview that her relationship with the Prince of Wales didn’t work because “there were three of us in this marriage.”
