A Chick-fil-A employee helped save a woman and baby from a potential carjacker by tackling the man before he could drive off from the outlet in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

The attacker was arrested after the employee, identified as Mykel Gordon heroically intervened.

The incident took place Wednesday near the Chick-fil-A in Fort Walton Beach, WMBB News 13 reported. The would-be carjacker, 43-year-old William Branch from DeFuniak Springs, approached the woman as she was getting the infant out of the car.

Branch was armed with a stick and demanded the woman hand her keys over to him.

He "grabbed the keys from the waistband of her pants, opened her car door, and got inside," the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office wrote in a statement, posted on Facebook. "When the victim began screaming for help an employee at Chick-fil-A ran to intervene."

Video footage of the incident, recorded by a witness at the scene, captured the tussle between Branch and Gordon.
