The mom drama will be at full tilt when episode 4 of “Dance Moms” Season 5 premieres Tuesday night. In a sneak peek for the upcoming installment, “Bye Bye Pittsburgh,” the moms are shown voicing their upset over the opportunities given to 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler, coach Abby Lee Miller’s favorite student.

Following Maddie's successful appearance in pop singer Sia’s music video “Chandelier” last year, Abby will grant Maddie a solo to compete in episode 4. During a rehearsal for the lyrical piece “She’s History“ in Pittsburgh, Abby tells the ALDC performer to channel a silent film star, such as Norma Desmond. “You’re this washed-up, bitter old queen, but then there's moments when you are the star,” Abby says.

After catching on to Abby’s consistent favoritism towards Maddie, new ALDC dance mom Jessalynn Siwa voices her concern that only Maddie will secure work when the team heads to Los Angeles the following week. “I think Abby knows who she is going to market in L.A.,” Jessalynn says.

Original “Dance Moms” star Holly Frazier agrees, saying, “It would be great if one of the girls gets a big break, kind of like what Maddie had with Sia, because that's opened up tremendous doors for her.”

In the sneak peek, Maddie’s mom, Melissa Gisoni, disregards the moms' upset, instead talking about all the work her daughter has lined up on the West Coast. “My biggest thing is I have meetings set up for Maddie on her two days off,” Melissa says. “She's reading a script right now for a new show.”

And Maddie's not the only Ziegler who's getting side jobs. Melissa reveals that her youngest child, dancer and singer Mackenzie, 10, is also finding success in the entertainment world. “Ryan Seacrest wants to interview Maddie [and] Mackenzie. They’re in another magazine, which is great!” she says.

With less than two weeks of experience at ALDC under her belt, Jessalynn -- mom of JoJo Siwa, 11, -- asks the other moms if their daughters, dancers Kalani Hilliker, 14, Nia Frazier, 13, and Kendall Vertes, 12, ever secure work outside of the studio. The moms make it clear their daughters are not Abby’s first priority.

“Yeah, that’s always a mystery in disguise,” Kalani’s mom, Kira Girard, says.

According to Lifetime’s synopsis for episode 4, Maddie’s latest opportunity will result in two of the moms finding ways to make their daughters stars. “Holly and Jill grow concerned that Abby’s focus will only be on her favorites and Nia and Kendall will be forgotten,” the network teases. “After hearing about Maddie’s next big Los Angeles opportunity, Holly and Jill vow to take matters into their own hands.”

“Dance Moms” Season 5, episode 4 airs Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
